8.08.08 - An article was published today by the Morung Express, a local newspaper in Nagland, India.  Many false and misleading statements were made regarding matters of NEIP.  If you wish to read our official response to the Morung Express CLICK HERE.

7.21.08 - We would like to personally invite you to join us Thursday night, July 24th at 7pm for one hour, for a North East India Project fundraiser/awareness event. The first 30 minutes will be open to look at (and purchase if you like) art and handicraft made by the people of Yimjenkimong Village in Nagaland, India, as well as photography from India. The last 20-25 minutes will be a short presentation of NEIP, and tell you a little bit about the village, and how you can help.
All money raised from the arts and handicraft sold go directly back in to the village and the work we are doing there.
Please RSVP via email or phone and let us know if you will be attending and how many will be with you, so that we may prepare appropriately for the event.

5.27.08 - New NEIP gallery exhibit scheduled for July at Provide-N-Ce Gallery in Denver, Colorado. 4.15.08 - NEIP partners with Jason K Powers Photography to sell photographs as well as various art and handicrafts made by people of Yimjenkimong. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT! 10.25.07 - Two used PC computers were donated to Yimjenkimong Village, from Alliance for Community Capacity Building in Northeast India (http://www.accb.org.uk), partnering with the Prag Foundation (http://www.pragfoundation.net). Two teachers from the village were sent to Guwahati, Assam for computer training that was provided by ACCBNI in October of 2007. Once training was finished by the teachers, they were given the computers and taken to the village. The teachers will be responsible for teaching the children the basics of computer usage, as well as using it as a teaching aid. These are the first two computers to ever be in the village. It will be the first time that most of the people of the village will be seeing what a computer is and does. NEIP hopes to be able to provide more computers over the next couple years.
